Although it has been famously known as Sri Vyasaraja Matha since his time due to the intensity and brilliance of his influence, the Vyasaraja institution had a great lineage even before that, which is as follows:

ಶ್ರೀವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜಮಠವೆಂದು, ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ತೀವ್ರತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಖರತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಕಾಲದಿಂದೀಚೆಗೆ ಆ ಹೆಸರು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನವು ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲೇ ಮಹಾನ್ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು ಅದು ಹೀಗಿದೆ:

After them, by the command of Hari, Vayu Deva incarnated as Anandatirtha. Madhvacharya is the reviver of the Vaishnava Siddhanta. His philosophy is called Tattvavada, but its most popular name is Dvaita Siddhanta. The books he wrote to propagate this philosophy became the Sarvamula Granthas.

ಇವರ ನಂತರ ಹರಿಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಿಂದ ವಾಯುದೇವರು ಆನಂದತೀರ್ಥರಾಗಿ ಅವತರಿಸಿದರು. ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ವೈಷ್ಣವಸಿಧ್ಧಾಂತದ ಪುನಃಪ್ರವರ್ತಕರು. ಅವರ ಸಿಧ್ಧಾಂತಕ್ಕೆ ತತ್ವವಾದ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರು. ಆದರೆ ಅತಿ ಪ್ರಚಲಿತವಾದ ಹೆಸರು ದ್ವೈತಸಿಧ್ಧಾಂತ ಎಂದು. ಈ ಸಿಧ್ಧಾಂತದ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳೇ ಸರ್ವಮೂಲಗ್ರಂಥಗಳೆನಿಸಿದವು.

The work 'Sri Madhvavijaya' is the biography of Srimadhvacharya. This work was written by Narayanapanditacharya, a contemporary who saw Madhvacharya with his own eyes, making it an authentic document.

ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವವಿಜಯ ಎಂಬ ಕೃತಿಯು ಶ್ರೀಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಜೀವನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ. ಈ ಕೃತಿಯು ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಂಡವರು, ಸಮಕಾಲೀನರು ಆದ ನಾರಾಯಣಪಂಡಿತಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಬರೆದ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಇದೂಂದು ಅಧಿಕೃತ ದಾಖಲೆ.

In this book, Narayanapanditacharya says this about Madhvacharya's works:

ಈ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾರಾಯಣಪಂಡಿತಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುವರು

In the 29th shloka of "Prameyanavamalika" (Anumadhvavijaya), the words "Shatagranthakarta" (author of hundreds of texts) support this. Hence, some may have been lost to time.

“ಪ್ರಮೇಯನವಮಾಲಿಕಾ”(ಅಣುಮಧ್ವವಿಜಯ) ದಲ್ಲಿ ೨೯ನೇಯ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ “ಶತಗ್ರಂಥಕರ್ತಾ” ಅರ್ಥಾತ್ ನೂರಾರು ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದವರು ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು ಇದನ್ನೆ ಸಮರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಲವಷಾತ್ ಕೆಲವು ನಷ್ಟವಾಗಿರಬಹುದು.

After Acharya, Vyasarajaru incarnated as the twelfth. The lineage between Acharya and Vyasarajaru is as follows:

ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ನಂತರ ಹನ್ನೆರಡವನೆಯರಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರು ಅವತರಿಸಿದರು ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರ ನಡುವಿನ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹೀಗಿದೆ.

Then, by the grace of Sri Hari, Prahlada Raja incarnated as Vyasarajaru.

ನಂತರ ಶ್ರೀಹರಿಯ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದರಾಜರು ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರಾಗಿ ಅವತರಿಸಿದರು.

The life of Sri Vyasarajaru, who was the Rajaguru of the Vijayanagara Empire, the head of the Vedanta empire of Madhvacharya's great lineage, and the chancellor of the Vishwa Pavanmatha, was colourful. His fame has spread in the air of the world and has become a song of centuries, spreading the joy of Vyasa everywhere.

ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜಗುರುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ, ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಮಹಾನ್ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ವೇದಾಂತ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪೀಠಾದಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ, ವಿಶ್ವ ಪಾವನಮಠದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರ ಬದುಕೆಲ್ಲ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ. ಅವರ ಕೀರ್ತಿಚಂದನ ವಿಶ್ವದ ಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿ ಶತಶತಮಾನಗಳ ಹಾಡಾಗಿ, ವ್ಯಾಸಸಂಭ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Sri Vyasarajaru, a great soul, upheld the Sat-siddhanta of Acharya to the highest peaks of the world by composing the great works Chandrika, Nyayamruta, and Tarkatandava, which are famous as the three gems of the Saraswata world, and adorned the Lord with his devotional songs.

ಸಾರಸ್ವತ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ರತ್ನತ್ರಯಗಳೆಂದೇ ಖ್ಯಾತವಾದ ಚಂದ್ರಿಕಾ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಮೃತ ತರ್ಕತಾಂಡವ ಎಂಬ ಸದ್ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ಸತ್ಸಿಧಾಂತವನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಉತ್ತುಂಗ ಶೃಂಗದೆತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಭಕ್ತಿಗೀತೆಗಳಿಂದ ಭಗವಂತನನ್ನು ಪರಿಪರಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ ಮಹಾನುಭಾವರು ಶ್ರೀ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರು.

From the same heart that composed Nyayamruta, Tarkatandava, and Chandrika, he also composed Kannada padas, padyas, and suladis, pouring the mantra-siddhi of Sanskrit shlokas into Dasa Sahitya. Vyasarajaru was the one who gave Dasa Deeksha to Purandaradasa and Kanakadasa. Later, Sri Vyasaraja was the great soul who worshipped Tirumalesha at Tirupati for twelve years.

ನ್ಯಾಯಾಮೃತ ತರ್ಕತಾಂಡವ ಚಂದ್ರಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪದಪದ್ಯ ಸುಳಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಶ್ಲೂಕಗಳ ಮಂತ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಸಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾರೆಯೆರೆದರು . ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರು ಪುರಂದರದಾಸರು ಮತ್ತು ಕನಕದಾಸರಂತವರಿಗೆ ದಾಸದೀಕ್ಶೇ ನೀಡಿದವರು. ನಂತರ ಶ್ರೀ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರು ತಿರುಪತಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ತಿರುಮಲೇಶನನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದ ಮಹಾನುಭಾವರು.

Sri Vijayindratirthaswamigalu, a disciple of the aparoksha jnani Vyasarajaru, has confirmed that Sri Vyasarajaru consecrated 732 (seven hundred and thirty-two) Pranapratikas by saying:

ಅಪರೋಕ್ಷಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಾದ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾದ ವಿಜಯೀಂದ್ರತೀರ್ಥಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು “ದ್ವಾತ್ರಿಂಶತ್ಸಪ್ತಶತಕೆ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಹನುಮತಃ ಪ್ರಭೋ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾತ ಸೃತಿಖ್ಯಾತಸ್ತಂಭಜೇ”ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಶ್ರೀವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರು ೭೩೨(732) ಪ್ರಾಣಪ್ರತೀಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಟಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರತ್ನಾಕರತಿರ್ಥರು ಕೂಡ “ಸಪ್ತಶತಂ ಪ್ಲವಂಗಮ ತವೇಃ ದ್ವಾತ್ರಿಂಶದ ಪೂಂಜನಾ, ಸೂನೋರ್ನಿರ್ಮಮ ಈಶ ತೋಣಕೃತೇ ರೌದ್ರ್ಯಾಹ್ವಯೋಬ್ದೇಶಕೇ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Similarly, Vidyaratnakaratirtharu, who came in the lineage of Vyasarajaru, further clarified this matter by saying:

The first Pranadevaru consecrated by Sri Vyasarajaru was the Yantroddharaka Pranadevaru of Chakratirtha. After that, he started consecrating Pranapratikas across the country, and one of them is the Pranadevaru on the banks of the Uttarapinakini river in Mavinakayinahalli. Therefore, we request all devotees to come, perform seva to Pranadevaru, and receive his grace.

ಶ್ರೀ ವ್ಯಾಸರಾಜರು ಮೊದಲು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರೇ ಚಕ್ರತೀರ್ಥದ ಯಂತ್ರೋದ್ಧಾರಕ ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರು. ನಂತರ ಅವರು ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಾಣಪ್ರತೀಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸತೊಡಗಿದರು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾವಿನಕಾಯಿನಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಉತ್ತರಪಿನಾಕಿನಿ ನದಿಯ ತಟದ ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರು ಒಂದು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಭಕ್ತರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಣದೇವರ ಸೇವೆಗೈದು ಅವನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
